This doesn’t sound like how to discipline your child in the conventional sense! But then, do we want to raise people who will be fearful and always obey? I love the quirky swimsuit activity you helped B satisfy herself with.
K is getting very much into pushing his stroller around outside. I’m thinking I should go out with him particularly so he can push the stroller about. : )
Grace, do it! He’s at the perfect age for doing that ‘work!’ 🙂

I know this is an older post, but just wanted to say it was really helpful. I read it a few months ago and filed it in my mind…and finally my 4 year old has found her “work”. It’s sweeping! I would have never guessed how much she preferred sweeping to playing with toys but nothing else gives her that glow of satisfaction. She’s someone who is easily frustrated, so I think sweeping is calming for her, and she is very good at it. My floor looks spotless! Thanks again.
