Hi Steph! Ya perseverance for sure. My brother enrolled his daughters in an immersion school that teaches Chinese half the day but Im not sure it is enough as they dont speak Chinese at home. The English will come naturally as they grow since they are in the US. Hope things are well.

Hi Roland, Yes, you have to be a Nazi (with them and with yourself) when it comes to speaking Chinese at home. It's so easy to slip. Thank you for sharing!

Be careful. I spoke Dutch at home until I went to kindergarten and realized other kids didn’t. Apparently I went from starting to answer in english to refusing to understand dutch at all. I wish my parents had kept it up – so have a plan to handle this! I plan to raise my kids french-english, so I’m going to have to figure this one out too.
